From The Board Room To The Beard Room

(I am attending the first lecture of an evolutionary biology class.)
Teacher: “So the father of the study of evolution is of course, Charles Darwin.”
(He shows us a picture of Darwin.)
Teacher: “You can see he’s a scientist, because of his big impressive beard. All scientists have beards.”
Student: “You don’t have a beard.”
Teacher: “And what does that tell you?”
Student: “That you shouldn’t be teaching this class?”
(It turns out the teacher is actually a lawyer, but teaches this class because he is very passionate about the subject. And during the course he proves to be an excellent teacher!)
