Friendly Customers There…

, , , | Right | December 12, 2021

I worked in a “tween” clothing store where the return policy was that we needed to get an address and phone number for a cash return. The transaction wouldn’t go through with it left blank, and if you entered fake info and were found out, you could be fired.

One woman was horrified she had to provide her address.

Me: “I need an address for the transaction, or you can keep your merchandise.”

Woman: “Fine. It’s 123 Sesame Street.”

Me: “Ma’am, the register won’t accept fake addresses.”

Then, I just stood and waited while she huffed and puffed. She finally gave what seemed like a real address. Like I was going to come to her house now that I knew it?
