I work at a grocery store as a shopper for the online shopping app.

Me: “[Item #1] is unavailable. Would you like a replacement?”

Customer: “Yes, I want [item #1].”

Me: “I am sorry, [item #1] is out of stock. I have [item #2] which is similar. Will that work?”

Customer: “I want [item #1].”

Me: “I am sorry, [item #1] is out of stock. I have sent a picture of what I do have available.”

Customer: “I want [item #1].”

At this point, I just refunded the item since they could not grasp the reality of the situation.
