(I’ve unexpectedly been hit by “that time of the month.” I’m standing in line at the grocery store to buy a box of pads, a huge bottle of Tylenol, two large chocolate bars, and a bottle of rum.)
Cashier: *brightly* “So, how are you today?”
Me: *raises an eyebrow* “Do you really need to ask?”
