Don’t You Forget About Me Again
(I and three other teens are taking part in a remedial chemistry course over the summer. None of us want to be there, but we all have our reason. For example, I slacked off during the school year so, despite being way too smart for the class, I’m stuck there. Right now, I’m talking to my sister about it.)
Me: “It’s so weird how different we all are. The class consists of a preppy popular girl, an egotistical jock, a tough rebel, and me, the nerdy emo kid.”
Sister: “Wow! It’s like you guys represent the different social groups!”
Me: “Wait a second; we’re the next generation Breakfast Club!”
Sister: “…That. Is. Brilliant.”
