Expecting A Belly Laugh

(I’m not obese, but I do have a tummy. It’s not normally noticeable, but I’m fairly self-conscious of it. My boyfriend however, loves it. He likes to squish it for some absurd reason. I’m often annoyed by it.)

Boyfriend: “Look! Here’s my squish!” *proceeds to squish my tummy*

Me: “Ugh, no, I’ve had a long day, go away. Why do you even like doing this? You know how much I hate it!”

Boyfriend: “But it’s so fun! It makes me feel happy. Look, you try!”

(He proceeds to take my hand and makes me squish my own tummy.)

Boyfriend: “It’s like a stress ball!”
