Today, we had a table sitting well past closing time who wouldn’t take a hint (nor a polite suggestion) that we were closed for the evening and needed customers to leave the premises.
Roughly half an hour after our posted closing time, we shut off the music and got started on our closing side work, expecting these guests to understand that we were closing for the night.
As I am sweeping and mopping my section, I overhear these guests (1) realize that we had shut off our music for the night, and (2) decide that they should start playing the music they want to hear from their phones.
The audacity of mankind grows every day.
