That Movie Rules

(An IM conversation with a friend late one night. Note: I’m watching “Rock and Rule” while we chat.)

Friend: “Whatcha up to?”

Me: “Watching a weird ’80s movie.”

Friend: “What’s it about?”

Me: “Two teenagers use the power of rock music to stop a rock star/evil sorcerer from summoning a demon.”

Friend: “Okay, then…”

Me: “Told you it was a weird ’80s movie.”

Friend: “I never doubted you. That sounds so ’80s it HURTS.”
