(It’s New Year’s Eve and my husband and I are babysitting our friend’s daughter. He’s carrying her up the sidewalk toward the store while I walk a bit ahead. I go to cross a parking lot exit and almost get hit by a car!)
Me: “Hey, watch it pal!”
Driver: “You watch it. You shouldn’t be walking where I’m driving!”
Me: “It’s a sideWALK.”
Driver: “Doesn’t matter. Don’t walk where I’m driving!”
(The scary part is he is a city bus driver!)
