Driving Thru That Story
A… gentleman… came to the counter, stating:
Customer: “I’ve just been through your drive-thru, and you didn’t give me my nuggets! I want the rest of my order!”
Me: “You went through our drive-thru?”
Customer: “Yeah, and it’s too much hassle to drive around again. Just give me the nuggets and sauce, and I’ll get going.”
I referred the gentleman to the day shift manager. Upon hearing his story, about how he had just been through our drive-thru and how we neglected to give him part of his order:
Day Shift Manager: “Oh, man, that is interesting. I think we’d better let the store manager know.”
The store manager, who also happened to be there, is called over. By now, the customer is getting rather upset about being passed around.
Store Manager: “What’s this I hear about a drive-thru order?”
Customer: “This is taking too long!”
Store Manager: “The reason I ask is… we don’t have a drive-thru.”
The look on the customer’s face… He saw we had a road winding behind the store for garbage truck access and just thought to himself, “Mmm, free chickie nuggies”.
