Don’t Teach Emotional Support Dogs How To Lie!
A customer shows up at the store entrance with a small dog in her arms.
Manager: “Sorry, ma’am, only service animals are allowed inside.”
Customer: “He is my emotional support animal!”
Manager: “If he’s trained for a task related to a disability, then he’s a service animal. Otherwise, I’m afraid he can’t come in.”
She turned on her heel and stormed off without another word.
Ten minutes later, she comes back in… with a suspiciously lumpy blanket tucked under her arm. The blanket barks. My manager stares at her while she tries to look inconspicuous.
Manager: “Ma’am, next time, try a trench coat and sunglasses. At least commit to the bit.”
She turned on her heel and stormed off again, this time not coming back.
