Don’t Sell Dad Short
(I’ve left some belongings on the dining room table, including a textbook and a pair of very small women’s shorts. My sister, who’s known for being a bit ditzy, has just cleared off the table and I can’t find where she moved my things.)
Me: “Um, [Sister], where’d you put my book?”
Sister: “Oh, that was YOUR book? I thought it was Dad’s, so I put it on his bed.”
Me: “You thought the pile of stuff with camo hot pants on it was DAD’S?”
Sister: “I was really, REALLY hoping they were running shorts.”
