Boyfriend: “I might want a glass of wine with dinner. Would you mind driving [My Name] home?”

Friend: *overdramatically, obviously joking* “Oh, so I can’t drink, but YOU can? And I have to take your girlfriend home?”

Boyfriend: “Come on, man. Take one for the team!”

Me: *also joking* “Oh, so driving me is taking one for the team now?”

Boyfriend: “That’s not what I meant!”

Me: *still teasing* “I see how it is…”

Boyfriend: *hugs me* “Wrong turn of phrase, love. I didn’t mean it like that.”

Me: “I know, I’m just teasing you.”

Friend: *joins in on our hug*

Boyfriend: “[Friend], what are you doing?”

Friend: “I wanna be part of this moment too!”
