I used to have a Spanish-speaking regular at work who thought she could say nasty stuff to us in Spanish and get away with it; she assumed we knew zero Spanish, or at least not enough to understand her.

I’ll never forget the look on her face when, one day, one of my coworkers finally decided to reply to her in Spanish to let her know we knew what she was saying.
