(I have been away all weekend at a conference. My boyfriend is a bit clingy.)

Boyfriend: “I’ve missed you so much! You had left, and I wasn’t sure if you were going to ever come back, so I was sad.”

Me: “I was only gone for the weekend, silly. What are you, a puppy?”

Boyfriend: “I just sat in my room whining, occasionally pawing at the door because you weren’t here.”
