Doesn’t Make Sense No Matter How You Crunch It

I bring out a customer’s salad after her asking me several minutes of questions about how small the lettuce is cut up and what comes on it. She takes one look at the salad and immediately says:

Customer: “I need to speak to your manager.”

I get the manager and stay close enough to hear because I’m nosey.

Customer: “Your girl there is purposely giving me bad service because I specifically asked for no crunchies on my salad!”

She is pointing to the croutons.

My manager later told me what she said.

Manager: “She asked for no croutons.”

Me: “No she did not.”

Manager: “Well she called them… uh… crunchies.”

Me: “She did not ask for no crunchies either. I definitely would’ve remembered that one.”

Manager: “…that’s fair.”
