(My three-year-old niece has stripped her Barbie doll naked. She turns to address her grandfather:)

Niece: “Do you want to talk to Barbie the girl?”

Grandfather: “No, I don’t want to talk to Barbie the girl.” *pause* “Or Barbie the boy for that matter.”

Niece: “It’s not Barbie the boy. It’s Ken!”

(My niece pauses for a moment, trying to figure out why her grandfather won’t play with her.)

Niece: “Do you like to play with naked dolls?”
