(I am a virgin, and have no intention of dating anytime soon. This takes place right before Christmas.)

Me: “Ugh, I feel nauseous.”

Mom: *joking* “Maybe you’re pregnant.”

Me: “Yeah, I don’t think so.”

Mom: “You don’t think so?! Do you have something to tell me?”

Me: “Well, I mean, it’s possible.”

Mom: *confused, shocked silence*

Me: “’Tis the season for immaculate conception!”

Mom: “Honey, your view of ‘immaculate’ may be a bit generous.”
