Dino-Mite Career Goals
I was a witness to this exchange, and it makes me smile to this day.
I used to work at a chain of craft stores where we had to wear red vests. On this day, I was working the checkout line along with a coworker when a customer approached the counters. He was accompanied by his young son, whom I believed to be around three to four years old.
This little guy was wearing a brown cowboy hat, brown cowboy boots, a red flannel shirt, jeans, and a bandanna. Just the sweetest little kid.
My coworker turned her attention to him as she scanned their items and asked him with a smile:
Coworker: “Oh, are you a cowboy?”
He said clearly in his tiny little voice:
Boy: “No, I am a paleontologist!”
At this, I had two things flash in my head. One, how I was slightly surprised at his perfect pronunciation of the word, and two, I melted at the sheer cuteness of the moment. I firmly believe that this guy is going places in life, and you cannot convince me otherwise.
