Demands To Have The Last Meow

, , | Right | August 16, 2019

(A customer has rushed into the shop where I work, very agitated and upset.)

Customer: “You need to do something; there’s a dead cat outside.”

Me: “Okay, I’ll have to call someone — as soon as I’ve finished with this customer.”

Customer: “It’s horrible; it’s just lying on the pathway. Can’t you move it? I rushed in here as soon as I saw it.”

(I finish with my customer with the woman constantly haranguing me to do something about the cat. I go to the door and look up and down the path outside our store but don’t see any cat.)

Me: “Where is it?”

Customer: “It’s in front of [Store].”

(I looked up to see the store she was referring to, on the other side of the large car park. She either rushed past ten open businesses or crossed the carpark and went around an open restaurant to get to my store. I called the centre’s manager to report it but the customer kept demanding that I should go out and pick it up myself.)
