(I am meeting my boyfriend’s father and grandparents for the first time.)
Boyfriend: “Oh dad, this is [my name].”
Me: “Nice to meet you.”
Boyfriend’s Dad: “So is the scarf to hide the hickeys?”
Me: “What? No!”
Boyfriend’s Dad: “Uh huh. Sure.”
(I remove my scarf to prove the lack of hickeys.)
Boyfriend’s Dad: “Son, you’re not doing your job right.”
