Cream, Whip Thyself
(My friend is a nice guy, but sometimes a little slow on the uptake. He and his wife are over for dinner. I have made a cake and think that some fresh whipped cream will taste good with it.)
Me: *pours whipping cream into a mixer bowl*
Friend: “What are you doing?”
Me: “Making whipped cream.”
Friend: “What do you mean?”
Me: “I’m going to take cream… and whip it.”
Friend: “YOU CAN DO THAT?!”
(He’d only ever had the kind from the can!)
