Customer: “Do you have supplements or vitamins that would be good for a three-month-old feces?”

Me: *Blinks* “I’m sorry, could you repeat that?”

She repeats it. Yup, I heard her correctly.

Me: “Ma’am, did you mean ‘fetus’?”

Customer: “What’s a fetus?”

Me: “Are you asking for supplements or vitamins for pregnant women?”

Customer: “Yes.”

Me: “This way, ma’am. Also, the baby in the womb is called a fetus.”

Customer: “That’s what I said.”

Me: “No, ma’am, you said ‘feces’.”

Customer: “Oh, potatoes, pot-ah-toes.”

Me: “They’re really not.”

Customer: “Why? What’s feces?”

I politely explain.

Customer: “Ah, so one comes out the front, and one comes out the back. Potatoes, pot-ah-toes!”

That poor child.
