Couldn’t See It Coming

(I’ve been nearsighted for about as long as I can remember, and my vision had progressively gotten worse over the years until I start wearing contacts. At this point, I can only see about 3 1/2″ away without my glasses. During class we’re watching a really stupid movie and I’m desperate for a distraction.)

Classmate #1: *whispering* “Hey, [My Name], can I see your glasses for a second?

Me: “Uh, yeah, sure.” *I take off my glasses and pass them to her*

Classmate #1: *puts on my glasses* “Oh, my God, [My Name], you’re blind as a bat. How do you even see?!”

Classmate #2: *annoyed and with the tone of someone who has had to explain obvious things to people before* “With… her… glasses.”
