Another Kind Of Rug Burn

(I’ve started casually seeing a guy. A couple of weeks go by since the last time he visited my apartment, and during that time I purchased a brightly colored rug for my living room. The next time he comes over, we immediately get frisky in the living room and end up spending a good amount of time on the couch before moving to the bedroom. Later, when he’s getting ready to leave:)

Guy: “Wait… did you get a rug? This is a really beautiful rug! I love the color!”

Me: “We were out here for, like, 30 minutes… and you didn’t notice it at all?”

Guy: “Well, I wasn’t exactly looking at the floor, was I?”
