A Relational Relief Effort
(I have been trying to go out with this girl for months, and we’ve been hovering on the edge of a relationship for weeks. Finally, after an awesome weekend together, she agrees to be my girlfriend. This exchange happens shortly afterwards.)
Girlfriend: “It’s a relief, actually.”
Me: “What is?”
Girlfriend: “Us being together now.”
Me: “Oh?”
Girlfriend: “Yeah. Now I can stop correcting myself every time I almost call you my boyfriend when I talk about you!”
Me: “Aww!” *kisses her*
