Ceiling The Deal On Stupidity
I’m home with my teenage son, who is snacking on some Doritos. Mid-sentence, he goes:
Son: “Oww!”
Me: “What?”
Son: “I ate down on a Dorito that was standing up. It cut the top of my mouth.”
Me: “Well… chew slower then.”
Son: “I think I taste blood.”
Me: “Lemme see.”
He opens his mouth.
Me: “Hmm, I don’t see a cut or anything. It was on the roof of your mouth, right?”
Son: “Ceiling.”
Me: “Huh?”
Son: “The ceiling of my mouth.”
Me: “The top part of your mouth is called the roof.”
Son: “Why? It’s a ceiling.”
Me: “I don’t know why, it just is.”
Son: “Well, that’s stupid.”
Me: “Almost as stupid as being injured by a Dorito.”
Son: “They’re spicy!”
