Cause For Pregnant Pause, Part 6

(I’m out to dinner with my parents and my younger, 9-year-old sister. We are talking about all of the girls who have been getting pregnant at my work recently.)

Me: “It’s just been crazy. First it was [name], and then [other name], and now [another name] just announced she’s having twin boys!”

Mom: “It’s got to be something in the water at your work. Take a sip and POP! You are knocked up.”

(Suddenly my 9-year-old sister gets a horrified look on her face. She looks close to tears.)

9-year-old Sister: “Oh, no, I’ve been drinking the water there! I don’t want to get pregnant!” *promptly bursts into tears*
