Can’t White-Out That Comment

(The boyfriend and I are having a mock-argument, each trying to convince each other that they’re wrong. At one point, my boyfriend picks up a pen.)

Boyfriend: *moving pen towards my face* “Here, let me fix this.”

Me: *recoiling in mock anger* “What?!”

Boyfriend: *horrified as he realizes what he’s just said* “Not your face! Your words! I wanted to correct your words, not your face!”

Me: *regaining composure* “This is going on Not Always Romantic.”

Boyfriend: *hopeful* “Really?! Right now?”

(Yes, right now!)
