Can’t Shave A Few Seconds Off That Order
I work at a frozen custard store, and we have two different types of chocolate chips, so we have to ask the customer which type they want. A concrete is custard blended with toppings.
Customer: “I want a raspberry and chocolate chip concrete.”
Me: “Would you like chocolate chunks or chocolate shavings?”
Customer: “No.”
Me: *Thinking I misheard the question* “Would you like chocolate chunks or chocolate shavings?”
Customer: *Clearly annoyed* “No!”
Me: “Okay, so you don’t want chocolate chips?”
Customer: “No, I do want them!”
Me: “Okay, then would you like chocolate chunks or chocolate shavings?”
The customer thinks for a few seconds.
Customer: “Hmm, could I get both?”
Me: “Sure.”
