Can’t See The Forest For The Boring Trees

A family seems upset as they walk through the park visitor center after an afternoon on the trails. The mother beelines to me.
Me: “Is everything okay, ma’am?”
Tourist: “No, everything is not okay! We drove all this way to see the forest, and the trees here look just like the ones in my backyard!”
Me: “We do have a large variety of great trees, ma’am.”
Tourist: “Yeah, but they’re all the same! Just big trunks with branches and leaves! Couldn’t you have got, like, more exotic trees when you were building the park?!”
She stormed out before I could think of a reply. When a coworker asked me what that was about, I could only guess that she wanted the trees on floating rocks from ‘Avatar’, because other than that, I was drawing a blank.
