Bugged About The Beetle

(It is 1998 and the new Volkswagen Beetles have come on the market. As much as I’d like to have an old VW Bug, I do not have the know-how or money for the up-keep. So, I purchase a new VW Beetle. As I pull into the parking lot of the local store, a ‘70s VW Bug pulls in behind me. We both park and get out of the cars.)

Me: “Wow, that’s in real good shape. I love your car!”

Bug Driver: “I don’t like yours.” *walks away into the store*

Me: “…”
