Blown Away By Their Thinking

There has been a recent report in the news about a massive new windmill farm being built out to sea.

Coworker: “Why do they need to build so many ugly windmills?!”

Me: “Well, it’s green energy! Plus, there’s so much wind out in the North Sea they might as well do something with it!”

Coworker: “There’s no wind out there! There aren’t any trees!”

Me: “…beg your pardon? What do trees have to do with wind?”

Coworker: “Trees make wind! You ever noticed that it’s only windy when the trees are moving? They generate the wind! No trees, no wind! I swear, this government is just wasting all of our money!”

Me: “So you think… you think that trees moving causes wind, not that the wind causes the trees to move?”

Coworker: “Yes! The more you think about it, the more you realize. You need to open your eyes and think, [My Name]!”
