Customer: “I want the [Smoothie] minus the banana.”
Me: “Are you allergic to bananas or just don’t like them?”
Customer: “Oh, I just don’t like them.”
Me: “I only ask because my boyfriend’s allergic and I know it’s a weird allergy to have, so I’d wash the blender for you if that were the case.”
Customer: “Interesting! What happens when your boyfriend has bananas?”
Me: “Oh, nothing major, his mouth and throat just get all tingly.”
Customer: “Same! That’s why I don’t like them!”
Me: “…”
Customer: *Realizes.* “…oh.”
Me: “My dude… I think you and I discovered something about you today!”
