Me: “Would you like this candy in the bag or would you like it outside the bag?”
Customer: “Yeah.”
Me: “Was that inside or outside? Sorry.”
Customer: “Yeah.”
I proceed to hand them the candy.
Customer: “Ugh, can’t you put that in a bag?”
Me: “…Yeah.”
Customer: “Don’t they train you to ask?”
Me: “They do! Like how, as children, we’re all trained to listen.”
