At Least We Know The Dog Approves Of The Fabric!

Years ago, I’m working my first job as a cashier at a craft and fabric shop where I sometimes also worked the fabric cutting table.

One day, a woman came in with her small dog, intending to buy materials for a dog bed. She brought a roll of batting and another roll of fabric. She tells me how many yards she wants, and I get to work rolling it out and measuring.

Suddenly, I can’t pull the fabric anymore, and I look to see the dog SITTING on the fabric she hasn’t paid for yet. I try several times to get the customer’s attention without success, as she is too busy looking at the dog bed pattern.

Finally, I am able to pull the fabric along… with the dog sitting on it. The customer only realizes what has happened when she sees the dog sliding past her. Luckily, she seems unfazed and goes about the rest of the transaction without incident.
