I work in a gas station. I was training the new guy and he had a customer come in.

Customer: “I’d like to prepay for gas. I tried to pay at the pump, but it wouldn’t go through.”

The new guy told her she was good to go before the register refused her payment for insufficient funds. She came back in, screaming.

Customer: “You’re stealing money from me! And you’re restricting my right to get gas! I’m going to call the cops!”

I called for a manager, who didn’t bother coming out. About ten minutes later, the customer came back and started screaming at us again. I got on the intercom and demanded a manager.

Two front-end managers came out to explain to her that, basically, she was broke.
