And SLAM Comes The Realization
(I work as a delivery driver for a local pizza chain.)
Me: *knocks on a door with a delivery*
Customer: *throws open the door* “No soliciting!” *slams the door in my face*
(I stand there, stunned and unsure whether I should try knocking again, when the door opens up a few seconds later. It is the same man, looking very embarrassed.)
Customer: “Um, sorry about that. How much do I owe you?”
(He ended up giving a pretty generous tip, which was worth the temporary door-slam.)
