A Distraction Reenaction

Boyfriend: “You know; I’m going to miss you next weekend while you’re gone, but it’ll also be good because you won’t be here to distract me.”

Me: “Me? Distract you? I’ve been sitting in our bedroom working on my computer for the last two hours and all you’ve done is play Fruit Ninja.”

Boyfriend: “Exactly! The thought of you hiding away distracts me! Sometimes I’d think you’d be less distracting if you pranced all over while I was trying to work instead.”

Me: “Very well.”

(I proceed to prance all over our tiny apartment for three minutes while he reads his textbook, pointedly trying to ignore me.)

Boyfriend: *throws down book* “Okay, you’ve proved your point.”
