Your Barq Has Mental Bite

(I am cooking dinner for myself and my fiancé at his apartment.)

Fiancé: “Hey, did you get any soft drinks while you were at the store?”

Me: “Yes. I got Diet Barq’s and Fanta Zero. I got Barq’s instead of A&W because Barq’s has… caffeine.”

Fiancé: “You considered saying ‘bite,’ didn’t you?”

Me: “You see, this is the downside of being able to read each others minds. You know all the stupid stuff I don’t say.”
