(My husband and I were in a grocery store with our toddler in the cart. My husband has very red hair, I’m brunette, and our son is blonde. A man walked up to us.)
Man: Here’s what I’m wondering – you got your red, you got your brunette, where’d you get the blonde from?
(We laughed and before we could respond…)
Man: I guess you could be adopted.
(Then he walked away)
