All The Nopes He Can Afford And Then Some

At the beginning of my career, fresh out of college, I started working at a startup of five people. The boss kept spending money on stupid stuff like a BMW to keep up an image.

That was fine, until he started to struggle to afford our paychecks.

Boss: “So, hey, I’m going to be short with your paycheck again this month, but it’s okay. You can just buy the stuff you’d normally need, like groceries and stuff, and put it on my credit card.”

Me: “Tell me that’s a joke, or I am noping out of here hard.”

It was not a joke. All four of us noped. Noped hard.
