Adopting A Destructive Attitude

(I’m watching our 10 1/2 month old daughter eat dinner while my boyfriend is reading the
newspaper).

Boyfriend: “Huh, an actress adopted a kid. I think celebrities do that because they don’t want to destroy their bodies carrying children.”

Me: *staring at him*

Boyfriend: *blank look* “What?”

Me: “Destroyed?”

Boyfriend: “Well, not destroyed. But, you know…”
