(It is Yom Kippur and we have just gotten home from temple when the phone rings. My mom answers.)
Mom: “Hello?”
Telemarketer: “Hello, this is [Name] from [Company].”
(He goes into his script but my mom cuts him off.)
Mom: “Today is Yom Kippur. It is the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. We can’t talk now.”
Telemarketer: “When would be a good time to call?”
Mom: *angrily* “How about Christmas?!” *click*
