A Strawberry-Blond Moment

I am in a coffee shop waiting in line. I am a redhead and so is the barista.

Customer: “Oh, so you’re related to the barista?”

Me: “No?”

Customer: “You must be related to him.”

Me: “I’m most definitely not.”

Customer: “Of course, you’re related to him! You’re both redheads!”

Me: “I can assure you, I have never seen this man in my life.”

Customer: “Ah, I understand now. You dye your hair!”

I honestly don’t understand how one person could be so stupid.
