A Sister Act

| Friendly | May 16, 2014

(I’m with my best friend at school. Although we’re both Chinese, we look nothing alike. We’re talking in a classroom before class has started, and one of those ignorant people who think all Asians look exactly the same comes up to us.)

Boy: “Are you two sisters?”

Friend: “Yup, of course we are. We’re twins.”

Me: “Just six months apart. I’m the older one.”

(My friend’s half a year older than me, but she looks  one or two years older.)

Boy: “You’re twins six months apart?”

Friend: “Yeah, duh! We’re twins six months apart!”

(That boy believes this to this day.)
