A Secure Purse

(My best friend and I are female and we’re hanging with her boyfriend, waiting for another friend to be ready for us to join him in his apartment. We just got a text saying he is ready for us, so we are gathering up our stuff that includes a purse my friend was asked to fix.)

Her Boyfriend: *holding up the purse* “One of you want to take it? I don’t really want to carry it.”

Me: “Hand it here. I am secure in my masculinity.”
