A Lot Can Be Said When Things Aren’t Said

Our store has an open area connected to the street before you pass through the main entrance.

A customer drives his truck right into this area, essentially INTO the store as we sell assorted outdoor items in this area, and sends his kid into the store while he sits there and waits.

Me: “Sir, you can’t park here!”

Customer: “It doesn’t say ‘No Parking’.”

Me: “That’s because you’re technically inside the store. This isn’t a parking lot.”

Customer: “It doesn’t explicitly say ‘No Parking’ so I can park here.”

Another customer, who had to swerve himself and his cart out of the way when this truck drove into the space, walks over and says:

Other Customer: “Your a** doesn’t explicitly say “Don’t f*** me” so how about you bend over?”

The shocking sentence silences both of us for a moment, and I try to suppress a laugh. The customer in the truck looks angry but this other customer is a huge brick s***-house of a dude and looks like he could squash most people like a fly if he wanted to.

He reverses his truck and parks in the parking lot like everyone else.
