A Lesson Learned

(The teacher is taking the register. It is the last lesson of the day. We are all tired and this teacher has a reputation for repeating things a lot in the lesson. He is also quite monotonous and his lessons are rarely interesting.)
Teacher: *to everyone* “Is there anyone missing from the lesson that you know of before I start?”
Me: *quietly to my friend who sits next to me* “I know what’s missing; my will to live!”
