(We have a female lecturer who is very strict when it comes to phones and insists that they must be off at all times. One day in the middle of a lecture a male student’s phone rings. Before he has a chance to switch it off, she storms over to his desk and answers the call.)
Lecturer: “Hello?”
Caller: “Who are you? Where’s John? I want to speak to my boyfriend!”
Lecturer: “John is with me now.” *hangs up and confiscates the phone*
